The AEX (Aerospace Education EXcellence) program has great hands on lessons.  As of February 2011 it is now a requirement that, "Each unit that has cadet members will conduct at least one AEX activity per quarter" (Ref: CAPR 52-16, Chapter 1-6, b.,(2),(b) ).  "Click" to link to AEX program home page for more information on the AEX program and how to order the AEX book.
